Questioning myself

bum
 Greetings everybody

What do you think living in the streets is?

Well is no picnic in the park that I ashore you. Think that it´s like living in the jungle all alone; it´s similar very despite not having predators that could “physically” devour you. When a bum walks in the street it´s like walking in Nature, all you see are the trees. You can pass by them, talk to them or ask for help they will always respond with cold shilling silence. The cold of the air, the hardness of the pavement, the hunger of our bellies and the sadness that we see every day makes our life’s very depressing; and sometimes tragedy happens cause some people just can take it anymore or simply our life style lead them to their death. Usually when a person is hungry he goes to the fridge and chooses what we wants to eat, well when I´m hungry I seek trash cans or I beg for some food in the restaurants back doors. That´s me, others choose a more desperate options, like prostitution, steeling or murdering. Like a said it´s a jungle.

Why do you live this way?

Well some choose it others don´t have a choice in the matter. There´s a million ways to become a bum, it´s easy to lose everything thing and be thrown to this life, hard is to get all that we lost back or to restart again. In a world overpopulated and obsessed with money it´s difficult to compete. Money talks louder than any Metallica concert, it´s the basis of this new power hungry society. Of course there some that overcome this situation but I repeat it´s not easy, only with perseveration and some luck on their side.

Are you happy?

It´s a difficult question, of course I´m not happy with my situation but in the other hand I don´t have bills to pay or a family to take care of, I can fall asleep looking at the stars and appreciate nature and all its beauty all day long. It´s a small satisfaction that I get as bum. I always say having little is better than having nothing.

See you next time,
